Note for users with high definition monitors
If you are using a high definition monitor (>1080p) or you have set the fonts in your system to size > 100%. You may have problems displaying windows correctly in the game. You will find the solution to this problem in a special post on the forum

I immediately warn you that this is not a native version, there is still one installation version of the game for Windows. However, using the latest version of the application Wine (Wine is Not an Emulator) and a few additional libraries, you can install and run Movie Business 2 on Linux computers. Personally, I tested it on Ubuntu and the program works great (although not perfectly, there are a few elements that behave a bit differently than under Windows). More information about what you need to install and what other behaviors you may encounter compared to the Windows version can be found in the dedicated help section Movie Business on Linux.
Although previous versions of the game also work, the 2023 edition is the first that was tested under this system and introduces several improvements to the operation of the game under Linux.

A new Chat option will appear in the assistant window. After selecting it, you will be able to talk to your assistant. About what? For example, about creators, films, awards or universes. The assistant can also answer some general questions. A list of sample questions you can ask can be found here.
Of course, do not expect the level of ChatGPT, the algorithms are much simpler, and this is only the alpha version to see if the idea will catch on. During the conversation, your questions will be saved and sent to MovieStats so that I know what you want to ask your assistant so that in future versions he can answer such questions.

As you know, in the Movie Business photos generated by artificial intelligence are used for visualization young creators. The content generated by artificial intelligence has been very popular in recent months. A lot of websites have been created, which with the help of the latest AI algorithms generate absolutely everything. The progress is very large, the photos generated are of much better quality than a few years ago. Hence the idea to complement, and ultimately replace, photos of current young artists with newer versions. As I am currently working on the next edition of the game (and time until the Oscars is running out) I have a request for you. Well, if you played with such services as DALL-E 2, MidJourney, BlueWillow, Lexica, Deamlike, InstantArt, Astria, Playground AI czy podobnymi i chcielibyście aby wygenerowane przez Was dzieła pojawiły się w grze. After this update, the official set will contain 5596 creators.

The set will include 3000 fictional characters in all professions and genders. In the case of creators who can be actors, they will have photos of young creators available in the game. For other competitions, photos will not be available.
Interestingly, the date of the start of a particular creator's career will be random and will be adjusted depending on the start date of the game.
The restrictions for playing with a fictional set of creators will be the same as for any other custom set.

The second part of the Movie Business allowed the use of non-standard sets of creators from the beginning. There was even an editor that allowed you to create your own sets. However, this functionality did not gain much popularity among players, hence the idea to provide players with the ability to add missing creators to the main set. That's how it was created MovieStats where you can submit your own proposals to the official set of the game online.
Over time, it turned out that the editor is not needed (I also use only MovieStats) therefore, work on its development was abandoned. However, I have received feedback that there are players who would like to be able to create and edit custom Creator Kits.
So I decided to introduce user kits in the 2023 edition. This time there will be no dedicated editor for it, because the file format itself is to be extremely simple, so you can edit it in any text editor or in tools such as Excel.
Custom creator sets will be stored in a text file in the format .csv (Comma-Separated Values) where each attribute will be separated by a semicolon.
You will be able to use your own sets in the party game. Using such a set will cause several restrictions during the game:
- will not be available trophies
- you will not be able to export movies to MovieStats after the game
- will not be available Stories and some Quizzes
- will not be available cult movies
